How long have you been making your unique jewellery for?
I have always been creative, painting and drawing , but found Jewellery making eight years ago and never looked back. How do you get started? I attended my first Bead Show with a friend and I was amazed at all the beautiful beads on offer. This lead to going home with a bag of goodies and I commenced my creative beaded jewellery journey, making for myself and my friends. The pieces were so popular that I started to do local Markets and from there Top Shelf Jewellery & Accessories was born. Within the year I was looking for something a little different and combined my crochet skills with my beading. I then moved on to crocheting with wire and that was is it... I has hooked !! What is your greatest inspiration? My Inspiration comes from many sources, the gauge of the wire, the size, colour and shape of the beads or Gemstones. As each element will dictate the crochet stitch used and how the finished pieces will look and feel. I am constantly coming up with new designs and ideas, some at 3 am in the morning ! What is the greatest challenge to owning and operating your own business? There are a couple that stand out first is the solitude, even with the wonderful support of my family, friends and wonderful customers it can be difficult not having anyone to bounce ideas off most of the day. The second is that I would love to just create all day and it would be fantastic to have someone else to do the admin. What is the best experience owning your own creative business? Being able to create what I want when I want. No boundaries on my creativity and my beautiful supportive customers . |

I create one of a kind Crochet Wire and Beaded Jewellery from my studio in the south eastern suburbs of Sydney. Every piece is and original design and no two are ever the same. I love to think outside the box and each one is a unique statement pieces, be it necklaces, earrings or pendants, I create them as all pieces of wearable art.
