Nekhbet Navarro is a 30 years old Graphic Designer from Caracas Venezuela. Since she was a little girl, creating and designing has been her biggest passion. At 25 she moved to Australia to pursue her dream and follow a career in graphic design while working with a team of artists and designers.
She has now created her new label The Tarantin. All of her experience accompanied with an obsession for shoes helped to create this range of colorful accessories that appeals to all ages and tastes. The Tarantin is where anything is possible. Managed by creativity, good taste and imagination with no rules or parameters.
How long have you been making your product ?
The last 3 years I have been creating “The Tarantin”.
How did you get started?
I got started when I got to Australia 5 years ago. Australia has been the perfect place for me to develop all the ideas I had since I become a designer.
What is your greatest inspiration?
My inspiration is just the LOVE I have for what I do. All my life living in the beautiful Caribbean full of color and movement. It is just my passion. As I always say "If I would not have become a Graphic Designer, I probably would have been a Graphic Designer".
What is the greatest challenge to owning and operating your own business?
My greatest challenge is to dedicate time to improve my business every day.
What is the best thing about owning your own creative business?
I am finally expressing that little child I still have inside of me. Having freedom to direct and perfectly understand what I am doing and where I want to be.
