I was asked to write a little text about how and why I started my business Noosa Handmade. This is the story:

When I was 16 years old my boyfriend gave me a "make it yourself" bracelet-set for my birthday. I loved the bacelet and the idea of making my own jewellery and I started thinking about all different designs that I could make!

Yes, finally. After months of preparation we can finally say that The Handmade Exchange is up and functioning as a 'boutique online marketplace'. And it really is that special.

The Handmade Exchange is a space where skilled artists can come together and showcase their work to a collection of people (you) who not only adore handmade, one-off creations, but also genuinely wish to support independent artists. 
 
With our hugely successful first market already tucked under our belt, it seems that we are on the right track. However, we would love for you to let us know your thoughts and suggestions, as you are the lifeblood of this market. After all, your support is the key to its success.
